Good value for diploma

As a first-time student, I was looking for the best deal for a Diploma in Sales and Marketing. Sedney Institute offered a competitive fee structure, and I qualified for a small early bird registration discount which helped a bit. The cost felt justified for the quality of instruction I received. Compared to other colleges I checked, the value for money was definitely there. I thought it was a worthwhile investment for my career.

Detailed feedback for DICT

I recently completed the Diploma in Information Communication Technology here. The application process was straightforward online, and I received admission confirmation within a week. Classes started on time in the September intake. The instructors were generally good, especially for the networking modules, though some of the software specific labs felt a bit rushed. The course materials were comprehensive and the lab facilities were adequate for most tasks. I appreciated the career guidance sessions they held near the end of the program; they provided useful insights into the local job market. Fees were managed well with their payment plan option. Overall, a positive learning environment.

Decent IT course

I signed up for the Diploma in Information Communication Technology. The classes were pretty good, and the campus was easy to get to. I got my student ID quickly after registration. No major issues, just a solid experience overall.

I just finished the Certificate in Hospitality Management and it was fantastic! The instructors were so knowledgeable and made learning really engaging. I feel much more confident in my skills now. Will definitely look at their diploma programs next year!

Always a reliable choice

This is my third time enrolling at Sedney. First, I did a Certificate in Business Management, then Diploma in Human Resource Management, and now a Short Course in Customer Service. The quality of teaching has been consistently high across all programs. The administrative process was smooth this time, just like my previous enrollments. It's why I keep coming back for more training.

Quick question about fees. Are there any discounts if you pay everything upfront for a course?

J James 1 month ago
I heard they sometimes do early bird stuff or waivers if you pay in full. Not a huge discount, but something.

Nah, they don't really do 'discounts' like that with codes or anything. It's more like bursaries or early payment incentives through the finance office. Had to do that for my HR course.

So I'm looking at Utalii College vs Sedney Institute for tourism. Has anyone here gone to Sedney for tourism and can say how it compares?

J James Torres 2 months ago
Sedney is TVETA accredited, which is good. My friend did the Diploma there and found the practicals really useful. Can't speak for Utalii though.

I think Sedney has a pretty strong focus on practical skills. Might be better if you're looking for hands-on experience, less theoretical than some other places.

Hey guys, thinking about applying for a diploma in hospitality. Anyone know if they have accommodation or do I need to find my own place?

T Tara Brooks 1 month ago
Yeah, they do. I think it's on-campus or something nearby. You should check their main site for details.

They have hostels for sure. My cousin stayed there last year for her culinary arts certificate. Not super fancy but gets the job done.

What's the deal with payment plans? Can you pay in installments or do you have to pay the whole thing at once?

W Wendy 1 month ago
They're pretty flexible with payments, you can definitely do installments. Just talk to the finance people.

anyone know if Sedney is actually recognized? Like, will employers actually care about a diploma from there?

M Mia C. 1 month ago
It's TVETA registered, so yeah, it's legit. Employers do recognize it, especially for the vocational courses.

Definitely recognized. My sister got a job right after her culinary diploma there. It's a proper institution.
